Hello, Meral here!

Many people also know me as Merkku. I am the newest member of MTTC and I think I share the title of the youngest player on this team.
I jumped on the MTTC bandwagon on October 6th and my fingers are already itching to get to work properly. First, I would like to thank the entire MTTC team for wanting to take on such a Partner who is still in the early stages of development. This is also the reason why I wanted to join the MTTC bandwagon. A team that works well together (we together), provides opportunities (towards growth) and is open (bravely vulnerable) and acts according to its theses. As a former top athlete (basketball), I have been on different teams all my life, both around Finland and Europe, and that is why a close-knit and functional team is an inviting and natural thing for me. MTTC is everything it says and advertises itself to be, which is why a common playing field was found very easily.
Something that is particularly close to my heart is the trending word that everyone loves right now. change management. Change management has been important to me since I first entered working life, that is, office life. As a basketball player and team athlete, change management is everyday working together, practicing, communicating with others, winning and losing together – everything that makes a team work the way it does. On the court, all that change management is everyday life, and it is not talked about as change management.
Leadership development is also high on my priority list. Bad leadership has been highlighted in the media especially this summer. My own reflections on the topic can actually be divided into three questions:
- What is bad leadership? How does it manifest itself in practice?
- Why are we obedient and quick-witted Finns still incomplete leaders? What are we leading, what should we lead?
- What can we do concretely in everyday life to improve leadership so that people can work better, become more committed to their employers, and through this also contribute to building the growth of companies?
These are the questions I want to find answers to with More Than Training Company.
I have one big (secret) dream that I would like to reveal to you here: to make Finnish leaders so amazing that even international companies would call and ask our leaders for help. A big dream, I know. But isn't it the case that if the goals aren't scary, then they aren't big enough?
I want to help our clients take change from start to finish. Help them understand why this “trendy word”, change management, is truly essential and an important part of success, whether it’s everyday development projects or implementing strategy across the organization. I also want to simplify it. Although change management is rarely simple, when you break it down and gain more understanding of it, it doesn’t seem like such a big and pointless thing anymore. In the best case scenario, it saves the company millions. 😉
Here I am, a little excited, a little stressed, but also super excited, I can't wait to write some growth stories with you readers! So from now on, you can just reach me by calling, texting, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Linkkar, or just emailing, whatever feels like the best way to connect with you. 😊
