HPK Palvelut is a relatively young company with a desire to consolidate and create management systems and improve the key collaboration of the management team. "When talking to Joshua, I had already felt during the first couple of meetings that this work could really add value."These discussions were not sales discussions, but consultative in nature, and I found them valuable in themselves. “This was the first time that DiSC analyses were conducted for our management team, and their inclusion in the coaching was also seen as a good thing,” adds HPK Services HR Manager Anna Nystrom.
The goal of the collaboration was to improve internal collaboration. Individuals should get to know each other better as people and there should also be the necessary operating models to support collaboration.
“We are a young company, so we still lacked operating models and collaboration mechanisms on a personal level. There was therefore a need for common ways of discussing things, so that at management team meetings In the future, we would be able to focus more on strategic thinking and not just on solving the pressing issues of the day.", Sami clarifies.
The goals set for the collaboration were met excellently along the way.”Team spirit in particular has improved significantly. Each of us received more tools for personal development and growth, and we were able to make decisions about who we want to be and what we want to do next,” says Anna.
The outcomes of the collaboration were also iterated along the way. “Sometimes in these kinds of projects, the outcomes are different from what was initially thought. That’s why achieving this team spirit was a bigger deal than expected compared to the more mechanistic idea of a pure management system. Many of us have certainly gone through this type of coaching, but no one is a good doctor to themselves – and that's when it's useful to have an outside party to see things from a different angle and also say things out loud.,” describes Sami.
The trainings were praised not only for their content but also for the experiences they provided.”The experience was extremely positive from a human perspective.. The locations for the implementation also strengthened the implementation. An impressive concoction was built from very simple ingredients – You didn't offer very complicated things, you just chewed things in the right order, creating a sense of community.!”, says Sami.
The coaching also brought about changes in things and people. The management team's agenda was modified to support strategic thinking, and in addition, individuals in the management team also dare to express their own thoughts more. "The management team is now perceived as more of a home base than before, where people dare to express things more openly. Thanks to DiSC, we also understand our own and others' characteristics better, making it easier to develop our own actions.", describes Sami.
Both Sami and Anna left with a positive feeling about the collaboration. “This was an investment that was worth making. It was valuable that we set out on this journey despite all the time and financial costs. Now we are a much more united team than before!”, praises Sami.
"I would also like to separately praise Tarja and her way of going through the DiSC analysis.. It wasn't any psychology jargon, but very down to earth and easy to understand”, adds Anna.
