Meral Bedretdin-Rousku

 Meral Bedretdin-Rousku (FM) is a human-friendly, cheerful and motivating coach who draws her expertise from top-level sports, work experience in human resources management and Prosci-certified theoretical knowledge. Meral's special areas of expertise are implementing desired changes and supporting both individuals and groups in making changes in their own everyday lives. 

“Everything that management does or fails to do affects the company’s operations, the meaning of work, people’s enjoyment and the future direction of the company. I work with implementing changes so that companies, their managers and employees each get the best possible results from their work,” Meral – more familiarly known as Merkku – describes her motivation. The importance of people to business is always at the heart of her work, regardless of the industry, and she wants to be involved in building a more humane working life. 

Meral is a top athlete who played basketball professionally for a decade. She is the first Finnish woman to play in Europe's top basketball league, the Euroleague, and has also played for the Finnish women's national team and the French national league. From her years in top sports, she brings with her coaching lessons from the sports coaching side, a strong understanding of the importance of goals and will, as well as discipline behind top performances, and energetic teamwork skills. 

Meral is constantly developing her skills through both literature and study opportunities. For example, she is currently completing her skills in the management theme at the Open University of the University of Jyväskylä. She spends her free time kicking, jogging, going to the gym and eating good food. As a person, she is open, positive, people-oriented and proactive. Meral's working languages are Finnish and English, as well as Tatar and French. 

Meral helps our clients especially in the areas of implementing changes, leadership development, strategy simplification, personnel management and culture development. Working with her is concrete, approachable, supportive and actionable. Plans do not remain as vague phrases on paper, but begin to live and be realized in everyday small and big actions every day.
